I
visited the two new crop circles at Chillandham, today, Wed, 5 Jul; for
convenience, identified as 1, a small square formation in the corner of
the field, and 2, a larger octagon formation in mid-field, adjacent to a
free-standing silo, which is visible in overhead imagery.
These
formations were just reported yesterday, Tue, 4 Jul. So, I had the great
good fortune to be among the first visitors on the ground. I did not
experience the "tingly" electric sensation I experienced at Owslebury,
two days earlier, but I have no doubt that both 1 and 2 are "the real
deal," crisp, precise and beautifully executed!
The
field holding both 1 and 2 is located between the A33 and M3, on the
north side of the road. As I met several people who accessed the field
via the mid-field cattle-gate, and met a very angry farmer, who shouted
at them, and accused them of trespassing, I must warn you that any visit
is not without an element of risk. Personally, I had no such encounter,
as I accessed the field, via the Micheldever woodland park, east of the
field.
As it
is always a privilege to enter one of these sacred formations,
respectful good conduct is 'de rigeur'; I encourage every visitor to
accept full and complete responsibility for his/her personal
conduct--observe the tram lines.
If you
enter the field, via the woods from the east, turn right (north), at the
third tram line to access 1. Retrace your steps and proceed to the
eighth tram line and turn right (north) to access 2, which lies east of
the mid-field silo.
Please
give the farmer no cause to object to your presence by your reverent and
respectful behavior.
