A crop circle discovered in a cereal field at Menetou-Salon

A crop circle, or circle of culture, appeared lately in Menetou-Salon. This geometric design, made in a field, has gone unnoticed in recent days.

It all began Friday, June 14th, at the reception of a mail addressed to the Republican Berry, informing us of the existence and the location of this crop circle, and providing us a photograph (see above), taken with the drone . So we went there on Monday morning, looking for the reason.

Neither the owner of the field, nor Pierre Fouchet, Mayor of Menetou-Salon, nor any of the other people interviewed during our investigations were aware of the existence of this drawing, formed of circles, in a field of cereals. the commune.

Forty meters long

Invisible from the road, we finally discovered it. "Those who made this figure use the trenches of tractors to sink into the fields. They then slept the cereals, at the foot or with a board. [...] Some ears begin to rise, which seems to indicate that the crop circle is already two or three weeks, "thinks a winemaker of the town, who accompanied us on the spot.

The figure, which is at least forty meters long, has two circles of ten meters in diameter. "It's very calibrated, well done. It happened the same thing in the Sancerrois two years ago, "recalls Pierre Fouchet, Mayor of Menetou-Salon.

Cher: a crop circle discovered in a field in Menetou-Salon

A crop circle, one of those geometric drawings drawn in the fields and whose origin is more or less mysterious, was discovered in Menetou-Salon (Cher).

By Amélie Rigodanzo

It was probably several months that the geometric pattern was drawn in the field of a farmer who had not noticed his presence. It is only this Monday, June 17th that the crop circle of Menetou-Salon was discovered, after the reception of an email Friday, June 14th by our confreres of Republican Berry .

In his email, the anonymous author informs the journalists of the existence of the drawing. The latter would be in a field Menetou-Salon. The informant attached to his correspondence an aerial photograph
(probably the capture of a video shot by a drone - Ed) of the mysterious motive. After some investigations helped by Pierre Fouchet, the ecologist mayor of the village, the drawing, invisible from the road, was located. It consists of two huge circles and is about 40 meters long.

"I'm surprised, obviously," says Pierre Fouchet, who discovered the strange motive at the same time as the journalists."For me, it is the work of people who make land art and who choose, for a reason that I do not know, some places to express themselves" .

Since its release, the crop circle attracts many curious. This is the second crop circle discovered in the Cher. Already in 2017, a geometric design was discovered in a field in Sancerre. A connivance also noted the mayor of Menetou-Salon. "Aside from the damage to the owner of the field, I find it quite pretty . "

The first crop circles were observed in the late 1960s in Anglo-Saxon countries. Scientific research has shown that these mysterious drawings are of human origin, obtained by partially setting the grain of a field. However, many skeptics continue to see the manifestation of paranormal phenomena.
