Reconstruction of the
2026 Alfred's Castle Settlement (1 and 2) formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed pentagon (regular 5-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up.

3. Draw the five diagonals of pentagon 2.

4. Construct the inscribed circle of the pentagon enclosed by diagonals 3.

5. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the inner mutual intersections of diagonals 3.

6. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 5 and the vertical centerline, tangent to circle 4 at the upper side.

7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 6 at the upper side.

8. Copy circle 6 to the lower intersection of circle 1 and the vertical centerline.

9. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 8 at the lower side.

10. Construct a circle centered at the lower intersection of circle 4 and the vertical centerline, tangent to circle 1 at the upper side.

11. Construct a circle concentric to circle 10, tangent to circle 9 at the upper side.

12. Construct a circle centered at the lower intersection of circle 10 and the vertical centerline, tangent to circle 4 at the lower side.

13. Construct three circles all centered at the lower intersection of circle 1 and the vertical centerline, tangent to circles 4, 5, and 7, respectively, at the lower sides.

14. Copy circles 13 to the lower intersection of circle 12 and the vertical centerline.

15. Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the upper intersections of circles 4 and 5 with the vertical centerline.

16. Copy circle 15 to the center of circle 1.

17. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 16 and the vertical centerline, tangent to circle 16 at the lower side. Move this circle (copy and delete original) to its own upper intersection with the vertical centerline.

18. Construct two circles concentric to circle 16, passing through the center of circle 17 and its upper intersection with the vertical centerline.

19. Copy circles 16 and 18 to the center of circles 14.

20. Construct six parallel lines, parallel to the vertical centerline, tangent to circles 16, 18, and 19, at both sides.

21. Circles 1, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 14, and lines 20, are used for the final reconstruction.

22. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.

23. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

24. ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2026 Alfred's Castle Settlement (1) formation.

25. The final result, matched with the aerial image.

In a neighbouring field, another crop circle appeared, that happens to be closely related to this one.

26. Start with circles 1, 4, 5, and 7.

27. Construct the circumscribed square of circle 1, with sides horizontally and vertically.

28. Construct the circumscribed circle of square 27.

29. Draw the connecting line between the center of circle 1 and the upper righthand angular point of square 27.

30. Construct the inscribed square of circle 1, with an angular point on line 29.

31. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing up.

32. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersection of the upper side of square 30 and the upper righthand side of triangle 31.

33. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersection of the upper righthand side of triangle 31 and the horizontal centerline.

34. Circles 4, 5, 7, 28, 32, and 33, together, make up the final reconstruction.

35. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

36. ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2026 Alfred's Castle Settlement (2) formation.

37. The final result, matched with the aerial image.
