Reconstruction of the
2026 Maccoombe Down formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Copy circle 1 two times, to its lefthand and righthand intersections with the horizontal centerline.

3. Copy circle 1 two times, to its upper and lower intersections with the vertical centerline. Repeat this one more time with respect to the just copied circles, as shown.

4. Create the circumscribed rectangle of circles 2 and 3, by drawing two sets of parallel lines, parallel to the horizontal en vertical centerlines, tangent to the outer circles 2 and 3, and extending these lines upto there mutual intersections.

5. Draw a line from the upper righthand angular point of rectangle 4, to the lefthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline, and extend this line upto the lefthand side of rectangle 4.

6. Draw a line from the upper lefthand angular point of rectangle 4, to the righthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline, and extend this line upto the righthand side of rectangle 4.

7. Draw a line from the lower righthand angular point of rectangle 4, to the lefthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline, and extend this line upto the lefthand side of rectangle 4.

8. Draw a line from the lower lefthand angular point of rectangle 4, to the righthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline, and extend this line upto the righthand side of rectangle 4.

9. Copy circle 1 to the upper end-point of line 8.

10. Copy circle 1 to the upper end-point of line 7.

11. Copy circle 1 to the lower end-point of line 6.

12. Copy circle 1 to the lower end-point of line 5.

13. Draw the connecting line between the upper intersections of circles 9 and 10 with the righthand and lefthand sides of rectangle 4, respectively.

14. Draw the connecting line between the lower intersections of circles 11 and 12 with the righthand and lefthand sides of rectangle 4, respectively.

15. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 9 at the outer side.

16. Construct a circle concentric to circle 9, passing through the center of circle 11.

17. Draw the connecting line between the upper righthand angular point of rectangle 4 and the intersection of circle 16 and line 8.

18. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of circle 15 and line 17, tangent to the righthand side of rectangle 4.

19. Copy circle 18 two times, to the upper and lower lefthand angular points of rectangle 4.

20. Copy circle 18 two times, to the upper and lower righthand angular points of rectangle 4.

21. Draw a line parallel to the lefthand side of rectangle 4, tangent to circles 19 at the righthand sides.

22. Draw a line parallel to the righthand side of rectangle 4, tangent to circles 20 at the lefthand sides.

23. Copy circle 1 to the intersection of line 22 and the horizontal centerline, and move this circle (copy and delete original) to its own righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

24. Copy circle 1 to the intersection of line 21 and the horizontal centerline, and move this circle to its own lefthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

25. Draw two lines, parallel to the horizontal centerline, tangent to circles 23 and 24 at both sides, and extend these lines in both directions.

26. Draw two lines, parallel to the vertical centerline, tangent to circles 23 and 24 at the outer sides.
Create a rectangle with lines 25, by extending these lines in both directions, upto the mutual intersections of both sets of lines.

27. Copy circle 18 eight times, to the intersections of rectangles 4 and 26, and to the angular points of rectangle 26.

28. Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the center of circle 18 and its intersection (tangent point) with the righthand side of rectangle 4.

29. Copy circle 28 two times, to the intersections of lines 5 and 6, and of lines 7 and 8, respectively.

30. Construct two lines, parallel to lines 5 and 6 at the lower sides, tangent to circles 19, 20, and 27, as shown.

31. Construct two lines, parallel to lines 7 and 8 at the upper sides, tangent to circles 19, 20, and 27, as shown.

32. Construct two sets of lines, parallel to the sides of rectangle 26 at the inner sides, tangent to circles 27, as shown.

33. Construct two lines, parallel to the vertical centerline, tangent to circles 29 at both sides.

34. Rectangles 4, and 26, circles 9, 10, 11, and 12, and lines 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 21, 22, 30, 31, 32, and 33, are used for the final reconstruction.

35. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.

36. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

37. ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2026 Maccoombe Down formation.
