This fairly large rapeseed formation appeared on the 9th of May alongside the big M4 highway south of Swindon.  The not unpleasing design was badly spoiled by it’s placement in a narrow corner of the field where it was not only awfully cramped, but a tramline with some dark plants growing in it cuts through one side.   Obviously the artists hadn’t planned their spot ahead of time!   In this shot I made a composition with the aircraft’s struts and the narrowly angled field, with the highway behind.
