At last, Master Lu and I discovered a new formation! There were two groups of grapeshot at opposite ends of the formation, and about 50 or
75 feet away.
It's in wheat, about 150 feet in diameter, at Lockeridge (or West Overton, depending on
how you want to draw the line), on the road between Alton Barnes and Avebury. This is
the first formation in wheat this year, and the crop is still young -- only about 18
inches high -- and consequently springing back up quickly.
Unfortunately, there were muddy footprints everywhere when we discovered it shortly
before noon. The grapeshot were not muddy, and really quite beautiful.
This doubles the number of half-decent formations in the area, so far!
