Reconstruction of the
2021 Ridge Way formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Copy circle 1 to its righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

3. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 2 at the righthand side.

4. Copy circle 1 to its upper intersection with the vertical centerline.

5. Draw the connecting line between the intersections of circles 2 and 4, and extend this line upto circle 3.

6. Construct the inscribed square of circle 3, with one angular point on line 5.

7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the upper intersection of circle 2 and square 6.

8. Draw the connecting line between the intersection of circle 1 and line 5, and the lefthand intersection of this circle with the horizontal centerline.

9. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to line 8.

10. Draw the connecting line between the intersection of circle 7 and line 5, and the lefthand intersection of this circle with the horizontal centerline.

11. Construct a circle centered at the lefthand intersection of square 6 and the horizontal centerline, passing through the intersection of this square with line 10.

12. Copy circle 11 two times, to the intersections of circles 1 and 7 with line 5.

13. Construct four circles concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersections of circles 12 and line 5.

14. Copy circle 11 four times, to the angular points of square 6.

15. Construct the circumscribed square of circle 3, pointing up.

16. Construct two sets of parallel lines, parallel to the diagonals of square 6, between the intersections of circles 14 and square 6, as shown. Extend these lines upto square 15.

17. Circles 9 and 13, square 15, and lines 16, are used for the final reconstruction.

18. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.

19. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

20. ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2021 Ridge Way formation.
