Reconstruction of the 2020 Hunt's Down formation | ||

| Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines. |
| 2. |
| Construct the inscribed octagon (regular 8-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up. |
| 3. |
| Construct the inscribed circle of octagon 2. |
| 4. |
| Draw the eight rays of octagon 2, from the center to the angular points. |
| 5. |
| Construct a circle centered at the righthand intersection of circle 3 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to the nearest (upper) side of octagon 2. |
| 6. |
| Copy circle 5 to the center of circle 1. |
| 7. |
| Construct a circle passing through the center of circle 1, and tangent to the upper and lower righthand sides of octagon 2. |
| 8. |
| Draw a line from the center of circle 1 to the upper intersection of circles 5 and 7. |
| 9. |
| Copy circle 7 to the intersection of line 8 and circle 3. |
| 10. |
| Construct a circle centered at the upper righthand intersection (tangent point) of octagon 2 and circle 3, tangent to the vertical centerline. |

| Copy circle 10 to the center of circle 1. |
| 12. |
| Construct a circle centered at the righthand intersection of circle 11 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to the upper righthand ray 4. |

| Copy circle 12 to the center of circle 9. |

| Construct a circle centered at the intersection (tangent point) of circle 10 and the vertical centerline, tangent to the nearest (righthand) side of octagon 2. |

| Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the intersections of circles 1 and 3 with the upper righthand ray 4. |
| 16. |
| Copy circle 14 to the center of circle 15. |
| 17. |
| Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 15. |
| 18. |
| Copy circle 14 to the intersection of circle 17 and the lower righthand ray 4. |
| 19. |
| Copy circle 15 to the intersection of circle 17 and the upper lefthand ray 4. |
| 20. |
| Copy circle 14 to the lower intersection of circles 17 and 19. |
| 21. |
| Copy circle 15 to the intersection of circle 17 and the lower lefthand ray 4. |

| Copy circle 14 to the lower intersection of circles 17 and 21. |
| 23. |
| Copy circle 15 to the lefthand intersection of circle 9 and the horizontal centerline. |

| Construct a circle concentric to circle 9, tangent to circle 23 at the righthand side. |

| Circles 1, 3, 6, 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24, and lines 4, are used for the final reconstruction. |

| Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself. |
| 27. |
| Colour all areas corresponding to standing... |

| ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2020 Hunt's Down formation. |
