Reconstruction of the
2018 Coneybury Hill formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing up.

3. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersection of the righthand side of triangle 2 and the horizontal centerline.

4. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 3, pointing up.

5. Construct the inscribed circle of triangle 4.

6. Construct the circumscribed equilateral triangle of circle 3, pointing up.

7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersection of the righthand side of triangle 6 and the horizontal centerline.

8. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 5, pointing up.

9. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersection of the righthand side of triangle 8 and the horizontal centerline.

10. Copy circle 9 to the top of triangle 2.

11. Construct a line, parallel to the vertical centerline, tangent to circles 9 and 10 at the righthand sides.

12. Construct a circle centered at the top of triangle 2, passing through the intersection of line 11 and circle 7.

13. Copy circle 12 two times, to the other angular points of triangle 2.

14. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of the righthand side of triangle 4 and the horizontal centerline, passing through the intersection of the lower side of triangle 8 and the vertical centerline.

15. Copy circle 14 to the center of circle 1.

16. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 3 and the vertical centerline, tangent to circle 7 at the upper side.

17. Copy circle 16 to the upper intersection of circle 12 and the vertical centerline.

18. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 17 at the upper side.

19. Construct the inscribed circle of triangle 8.

20. Copy circle 19 to the upper intersection of circle 18 and the vertical centerline.

21. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 20 at the upper side.

22. Construct a circle centered at the lefthand intersection of circle 14 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to circle 9 at the lefthand side.

23. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 22 at the righthand side.

24. Copy circle 23 to the top of triangle 2.

25. Construct a line, parallel to the vertical centerline, tangent to circles 23 and 24 at the righthand sides.

26. Copy lines 11 and 25, while mirroring with respect to the vertical centerline.

27. Repeat steps 11 and 25 (and all the necessary other steps) two times, with respect to the other two angular points of triangle 2, as shown.

28. Circles 3, 5, 12, 13, 15, 18, and 21, and lines 11, 25, 26, and 27, are used for the final reconstruction.

29. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.

30. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

31. ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2018 Coneybury Hill formation.

32.
