Reconstruction of the
2017 Woolstone Hill formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Copy circle 1 to its righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline. Move this circle (copy and delete original) to its own corresponding intersection.

3. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 2.

4. Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular six-sided polygon) of circle 3, pointing to the right.

5. Copy circle 1 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 4.

6. Copy circle 1 to the righthand intersection of circle 2 and the horizontal centerline. Move this circle to its own corresponding intersection.

7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 6.

8. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 7, pointing to the right.

9. Copy circle 1 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 8.

10. Construct a line tangent to the upper two circles 9, at the upper sides.

11. Copy circle 1 to the intersection of line 10 and the vertical centerline. Move this circle to its own upper intersection with the vertical centerline.

12. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 11.

13. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 12, pointing up.

14. Copy circle 1 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 13.

15. Construct a circle, passing through the intersections (tangent points) of circles 1, and 2, and upper righthand circle 5.

16. Copy circle 15 to the center of circle 1.

17. Construct a circle concentric to circle 2, tangent to circle 16 at the righthand side.

18. Copy circle 17 eleven times, to the centers of circles 5, 11, and 14.

19. Copy circle 15 six times, to the centers of circles 6 and 9.

20. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 11 at the upper side.

21. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to uppermost circle 18 at the upper side.

22. Circles 2, 5, 6, 9, 11, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21, are used for the final reconstruction.

23. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.

24. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

25. ...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2017 Woolstone Hill formation.

26.
