Circumscribe a
square about the small central circle. This square will give you the
location of the inner edge of the ring around the central circle.
Construct ‘squaring the circle’ based on equal perimeter and
circumference, resulting in the red circle. Use this red circle to
construct again ‘squaring the circle’, but now based on equal surface
areas. The resulting bigger (blue) square will give the location of the
outer edge of the ring around the central circle. You now have all the
elements you need to reconstruct the 2017 Lurkeley Hill crop circle. The
five blue circles in the diagram, give a hint how to proceed.
