The formation
in Wheat was discovered by the farmer Tore Skogvold on the 2nd of
September when he had started to harvest the wheat field. He found four
circles of about 2,5 metres in diameter. Two of them were connected,
forming a figure 8. Two more circles (not connected) were lying
about 35 metres further down the field.
He contacted Eva
and Stig Ullereng whom he knew were interested in crop circles. They
photographed the circles the same evening and send the images and
a short report to the Norwegian Crop Circle group:

The next day,
Kåre Gøran Mangen Tjelte, went to inspect th e circles. The whole field
was now harvested, but the circles were still visible on the ground. He
looked closely at the two connected circles and noticed the ground under
the downed plants was slightly "pressed down" (to about 2 cm lower than
the surrounding soil). He could not see any footprints or traces left by
humans or animals.
