Reconstruction of the 2015 Uffcott formation | ||

Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines. | |

Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up. | |

Construct a circle centered at the top of hexagon 2, passing through its lower angular point. | |

Copy circle 3 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 2. | |

Draw the connecting line between the righthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline and the rightmost intersection of circles 4. Divide this line into five equal parts. | |

Construct four circles concentric to circle 1, passing through the division nodes 5. | |

7. |
Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the innermost intersections of circles 4. | |

8. |
Construct a circle concentric to circle 3, tangent to circle 7 at the lower side. | |

9. |
Copy circle 8 five times, to the centers of circles 4. | |

10. |
Construct two inscribed equilateral triangles of outermost circle 6, one pointing to the left, one to the right. | |

Construct a circle passing through the leftmost angular point of triangles 10, and passing through the upper and lower intersections of these triangles. | |

Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 11 at the righthand side. | |

13. |
Circles 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, and 12, are used for the final reconstruction. | |

Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself. | |

Colour all areas corresponding to standing... | |

16. |
...or to flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2015 Uffcott formation. | |
